We are considering applicants for a full-time role.

The full-time role (Monday through Friday, 9-5) is an in-person position at our office in Fort Worth, Texas.

As a Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our organization’s messaging efforts by creating compelling and persuasive communications that engage donors, supporters, and stakeholders. Your work will be the driving force behind impactful fundraising and advocacy campaigns, stakeholder communications, email, direct mail, and other communications materials. We are primarily looking for a strong writer with a passion for politics and a keen understanding of how to inspire action through written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and optimize emotionally resonant, action-oriented communications for donor appeals, advocacy campaigns, landing pages, and emails.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure timely, high-quality execution of projects.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and fundraising techniques to continuously improve the effectiveness of our communication strategies.
  • Tailor messages for various audiences, ensuring that the tone and content resonate with different donor segments and demographics.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of communications to make data-driven adjustments and optimizations for future campaigns.

Qualifications

  • A strong writing portfolio that shows your ability to tell stories, evoke emotion, and drive action.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to translate legislative and current events information into compelling narratives.
  • Proficiency in editing and proofreading to ensure high-quality, error-free communications.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and highly collaborative.
  • Passion for politics, advocacy, and grassroots engagement.
